Inactivity win-back
Send one message to leads who went quiet, without breaking messaging rules
The inactivity trigger fires once a lead has gone a set number of days without replying. It runs from an hourly sweep, not from an incoming message, and it fires once per lead per automation.
Set it up
- Automations → New, choose Inactivity and set the number of days.
- Add a Condition if you only want certain leads, for example has tag: qualified.
- Add the message step for the channel the lead is on.
The channel decides what you can send
- WhatsApp: the 24-hour window is closed by definition, so the step must be a WhatsApp template, and Meta charges for it. See WhatsApp templates.
- Instagram and Messenger: Meta does not allow a business to message someone outside the 24-hour window. Arolead will not send the message, and the win-back for these leads is better done through a story or a post that invites them to reply.
Because of this, the inactivity trigger is most useful for WhatsApp leads, and for tagging or moving stages so the quiet ones surface in the pipeline for a manual follow-up.
