Connect via Facebook

This connects a Facebook Page together with the Instagram account linked to it, Meta always issues them as a pair for this flow. Use it if you want to automate a Facebook Page's comments or Messenger DMs, or schedule posts to Facebook, alongside Instagram.

Meta describes this flow as: "Instagram professional must connect their Instagram account to a Facebook page, and then authorize the 3rd party application through the Facebook login for business."

Requirements

• A Facebook Page you manage.
• That Page has your Instagram professional account linked to it (in the Page's own settings: Linked Accounts → Instagram).

Steps

1. Go to Accounts and click "Connect via Facebook."
2. Log in with the Facebook account that manages your Page.
3. Choose the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account, and approve the requested permissions.
4. You're done, both the Facebook Page and its linked Instagram account appear in your Accounts list.

If your Instagram account doesn't show up after connecting: it likely isn't linked to the Page yet. Link it from Instagram's own app, Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account, then reconnect here.
