I don't have a Facebook Page, can I still automate Instagram?

Yes. Use Connect Instagram only. It skips the Facebook Page entirely and works directly with your Instagram Business or Creator account.

Can I connect the same Instagram account both ways?

You can, but each connection replaces the other for that account, whichever method you connect with most recently becomes the active one. You'll only ever see one entry for it in your Accounts list.

Will I lose Facebook-only features if I use "Instagram only"?

Yes, anything Facebook-Page-specific (Facebook comment/Messenger automation, scheduling posts to a Facebook Page) needs Connect via Facebook, since it depends on a linked Page. Instagram automation itself (comments, DMs) works the same either way.

My Instagram account is personal, not Business/Creator, what do I do?

Switch it to a Professional account first: in the Instagram app, go to Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account, then come back and connect.

Do I need to redo automations if I switch connection methods later?

No, your automations stay attached to the account, not the connection method. Reconnecting (either way) just refreshes access; your existing automations keep working.
