Connect Instagram only

Step-by-step: connecting Instagram directly, no Facebook Page needed

This connects your Instagram account directly, no Facebook Page involved at all. Meta's own documentation confirms this explicitly:

"This API setup does not require a Facebook Page to be linked to the Instagram professional account."

Requirements

  • An Instagram Business or Creator account (not a personal account).

Steps

  1. Go to Accounts and click "Connect Instagram only."
  2. Log in with your Instagram account.
  3. Approve the requested permissions, comments, messages, and content.
  4. Your Instagram account appears in your Accounts list, marked "IG only."

What's different from Connect via Facebook

  • No Facebook Page anywhere in the flow.
  • Facebook-Page-specific features (Facebook comment/Messenger automation, scheduling posts to a Page) aren't available on this connection.
  • Instagram automation itself, comment replies, DMs, works identically either way.

My Instagram account is personal, not Business/Creator

Switch it first: in the Instagram app, go to Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account, then come back and connect.
