Step 1
Run Meta’s Embedded Signup
The guided flow opens inside Arolead and creates or links a WhatsApp Business Account under your own Meta Business Portfolio. The number must not be registered on the WhatsApp app.
Step 2
Add a payment method with Meta
Add it in Meta’s Billing Hub. Replies inside the 24-hour window are free, and templates outside it are billed by Meta to you, not through Arolead.
Step 3
Build a keyword reply or a broadcast
Inbound messages land in the unified inbox and create leads like any other channel. Add a keyword automation, or send your first approved template.
What WhatsApp messages cost
Meta charges per delivered template message, at a rate set by the template’s category and the recipient’s country. For recipients in India, Meta’s list rates effective 1 July 2026 are ₹0.8631 per marketing message and ₹0.1150 per utility or authentication message, plus 18% GST.
Every ordinary message inside the 24-hour window after a customer’s last message is free, and so is a utility template sent inside that window. Arolead adds nothing on top of Meta’s rates.
Keeping your number in good standing
Meta rates every business number on how recipients react: blocks, reports and whether people reply. Marketing templates may only go to people who agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp.
Arolead records an opt-out on the contact and leaves that person out of later broadcasts. If someone messaged you in the last 24 hours, reply from the inbox instead of sending a template: the reply is free and the template is not.
Which plan includes WhatsApp
WhatsApp is on the Pro plan, at ₹1,499 or $39 a month, with one WhatsApp Business number and 20 WhatsApp templates alongside five Instagram and Facebook accounts. The Agency plan, which is coming soon, carries three numbers.
Common questions
Can I use my existing WhatsApp number?
Yes, as long as it can receive an SMS or call for verification and is not currently registered on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. A number in use on the app has to be deleted from the app first, and Meta warns that this cannot be undone.
Does Arolead charge per WhatsApp message?
No. Meta bills your WhatsApp Business account directly at its published rates, against the payment method in your Billing Hub. Arolead adds no markup.
Can I message someone who has not messaged me first?
Only with a template Meta has approved, and marketing templates only to people who opted in. Ordinary messages can be sent for 24 hours after the person’s last message.
Is WhatsApp in the same inbox as Instagram?
Yes. WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger conversations share one inbox and one lead pipeline, and the thread shows how long the reply window stays open.
